Rastriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) (Central Sector Scheme) has been launched 2007-08 in Erstwhile Andhra Pradesh State and implementation in Horticulture sector was started from 2008-09. Up to 2014-15 it was 100% grants from GOI, from 2015-16 onwards the funding pattern is in 60:40 of GOI and State Govt. respectively.
Objectives

To ensure availability of vegetables throughout the year and improvement of nutritional standards in rural areas.

Creation of infrastructure like permanent pandals at farmers field for quality production of creeper vegetables.

To promote new technologies.

To enhance knowledge and skills of farmers with latest advanced technologies by conducting trainings and exposure visits.
