Poly House

Establishment of Green/Polyhouses is a flagship programme in Telangana launched during 2014-15 with 75% subsidy to promote cultivation of high value vegetables and flowers. During 2016-17, the subsidy has been enhanced to 95% for SC/ST farmers.

Beneficiaries are eligible up to min. of 200 sq.mts and max. of 12000 sq. mts (3.00 acres) for polyhouses under General category and a max. of 1.00 acre under SC & ST category.

Objectives of the Scheme:

Ø  To enhance productivity and yields per unit area which in turn gives higher returns to farmers.

Ø  Promotion of high value Horticulture crops under Poly houses.

Ø  Year round production of Vegetable crops especially for off season production of vegetables.

Achievements under Polyhouse scheme:

Ø  Since inception of the programme during 2014-15 to till date, an area of 1150 acres was covered with 917 farmers under Polyhouses across the State

Ø  Out of the total 1150 acres, planting was done in around 700 acres and remaining area is under various stages of execution.
